If you’re fighting with a lover or recently broke up with one, you might want to avoid this post. Because this woman right here is about to go all syrupy for a second regarding her husband’s latest work of art, and it might make you blow chunks.
But hopefully it doesn’t.
Every August for the past three years Country Man has volunteered for an organization called The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
The efforts of RMEF are to protect elk and other wildlife through land conservation, habitation stewardship, and elk restoration.
Country Man attends the organizational meetings, as well as uses his own talents to create something for the auction tables (where I bid in Dwight-style).
This year he spent a few hours building this knife, to be auctioned off tonight:
Isn’t it a beaut?
Displaying it on our new carpet piece. Love how cozy it makes the living room floor.
If you’re looking at this and thinking, “Wow, I’d love to surprise my (insert favorite person here) with a one-of-a-kind custom created knife using a deer antler, check out our Etsy shop.
The antler and steel blade will last forever and make for a good conversation piece.
End of bragging.
Before I say goodbye, here is a photo Country Man took Monday morning. You can see the Missouri river behind the fog.
Guess I wasn’t done bragging quite yet.
See you soon!
