News from the Farm

What a rainy Sunday.

Country Man is feeding cattle and I am refereeing wrestling yorkies who think the perfect arena is by my feet.

Our garden is planted and I even snuck in wildflowers as a border.

But the most important happening around here is…

…. we are expecting a baby boy in July!

This baby has been a long time coming and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

I can’t wait to see the pups with him. I hope they all like each other because I don’t know what to do with the baby if they don’t (haha!).

Tobi the Model

Tobi is ready to resign her role as main subject, but as long as she’s the most cooperative, her modeling days are far from over.

The nursery is ready to decorate but have to wait on things like new windows to get to the fun part. I’ll update that later when it’s finished.

All in all everything has been going well and we’re excited to be in the home stretch and to share this part of our journey with you.

What’s going on with you?

  1. That’s great news, T! I know how long a journey this has been for you two, but good things always make their way around to good people like you!

  2. There’s nothing like bringing a new life into the world! If more men could experience childbirth perhaps there would be less conflict in the world!!
Peace and congratulations only 2 months to go!

  3. Woohoo! A country boy to round out your homestead. 🙂 My little boy is graduating from high school next week. They are so much fun in their wonder and curious nature. Muddy little shoes, sticks, rocks, cars, pieces of metal and electronic equipment stashed in drawers, pockets and under beds. Congratulations on your next big adventure!

  4. I was just thinking about you the other day!!! Congratulations, I am thrilled for you both. My boys are now 40 and 31, but they will forever be my babies. I pray you are well and that all goes smoothly.

  5. Wonderful news! I’m so happy for you guys! As far as the dogs go, it will be an adjustment. My pups like the babes but I think they are still hoping that they won’t be here permanently!! Little Loca sure misses being the cutest and most loved member of the family. In other words, I’m still waiting for them to all be best friends!! Xoxo

  6. I’m glad to be back.

I religiously followed (mostly lurked) on your blog until about a year ago…

I had a heartbreak happen, and I needed to stay away for a while.

Your sweet and touching stories made me ache, because they reminded me of a Country Man I had to let go of.

I miss reading about what was going on with you in SD, and I’m glad to be back.

I’m feeling so thrilled to read your good news!

What a serendipitous time for me to return to your blog.

Even though you don’t really know me, I’m glad I can celebrate with you.

Thank you for your beautiful photos and poetry… they feed my soul.

    Love,
    Corbie

  7. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I haven’t been on here in months and then I come across this! Congrats! I’m so excited and happy for you guys! And, I have to say, July babies are the best – but I’m a little biased since my birthday is July 8th (: Sending lots of love and hugs!
